কিশোরগঞ্জের কুলিয়ারচরে সংখ্যা লঘু পরিবারের সাড়ে পাঁচ বছরের শিশু নাপিতেরচর প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের শিশু শ্রেণীর এক শিক্ষার্থী কে ধর্ষণ চেষ্টার অভিযোগ উঠেছে একই এলাকার ১৯ বছর বয়সী যুবক শহিদুল্লাহর ছেলে আশরাফুলের বিরুদ্ধে। গত বুধবার বিকাল ৪ টার দিকে ফরিদপুর ইউনিয়নের নাপিতের চর গ্রামের আশরাফুলের বাড়ীতে ঘটে। লম্পট আশরাফুল এই ঘটনার আগে ত্ত শিশুটিকে আরো একবার ধর্ষণের চেষ্টা চালায় বলে শিশুর পরিবার দাবী করে। স্থানীয় ভাবে বিষয়টি মিমাংসার চেষ্টা করে ব্যর্থ হয়ে তারা আইনের আশ্রয় নিতে বাধ্য হয়েছেন বলে জানিয়েছেন শিশুর পরিবার।
শিশুটির পিতা জানায়, ঘটনার দিন ২ জুন বুধবার বিকালে শিশুটির পিতা তার কাজে বেলাব ছিলেন। আর শিশুটি মা বাড়ির পাশে একটি পাট ক্ষেতে যায় কাজ করতে। প্রখর রোদ্রের তাপে শিশুটি বাড়ীতে চলে আসে। এমন সময় পাশের বাড়ীর আশরাফুল তাকে ঘুড়ি দেখানোর কথা বলো ঘরে ডেকে নেয়। পরে শিশুটিকে ধর্ষণের চেষ্টা চালায়। এ সময় শিশুটির চিৎকারে এলাকাবাসী এগিয়ে আশরাফুল পালিয়ে যায়। তারা প্রথমে ইউপিচেয়ারম্যান কে অবগত করে পরিবর্তিতে থানায় এসে লিখিত অভিযোগ দায়ের করে।
কুলিয়ারচর থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ এ কে এম সুলতান মাহমুদ ঘটনার সত্যতা স্বীকার করে বলেন এই ঘটনায় মামলা প্রস্তুতি চলছে। অভিযুক্তকে আশরাফুলের গ্রেফতারের চেষ্টাচালানো হচ্ছে।
