ঝিনাইদহের কোটচাঁদপুরে আম পাড়তে গিয়ে গাছ থেকে পড়ে মানোয়ার হোসেন (৩২) নামে এক ট্রাক চালক যুবকের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। শনিবার রাত ১০ টার দিকে ঢাকায় নেওয়ার পথে তার মৃত্যু হয়। উপজেলার এলাঙ্গী ইউনিয়নের বলরামপুর গ্রামে শনিবার বেলা ১১ টার দিকে আম পাড়তে গিয়ে

স্থানীয় ইউপি সদস্য ইকবাল হোসেন জানান, শনিবার বেলা ১১টার দিকে বলরামপুর গ্রামের আমির আলীর একটি আম গাছ থেকে আম পাড়তে যায় ট্রাক চালক মানোয়ার। এসময় গাছের ডাল ভেঙ্গে মেইন সড়কে পড়ে যায় সে। এতে বুকে ও মাথায় গুরতর আঘাত পায়।
স্থানীয়রা তাকে উদ্ধার করে কোটচাঁদপুর উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্যকমপ্লেক্সে নিয়ে যায়। অবস্থার অবনতি হলে প্রথমে যশোর জেনারেল হাসপাতালে পরে উন্নত চিকিৎসার জন্য ঢাকায় নেওয়ার পথে তার মৃত্যু হয়। তিন সন্তানের জনক নিহত ট্রাক চালক ওই গ্রামের মোঃ জামাত আলীর ছেলে। কোটচাঁদপুর মডেল থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ মঈন উদ্দিন জানান, দূর্ঘটনার খবর পেয়েছি। এঘটনায় লিখিত কোন অভিযোগ পাওয়া যায়নি
