শরিফুল ইসলা-গুরুদাসপুর (নাটোর) প্রতিনিধি: নাটোরের গুরুদাসপুরের শিশু জন্মের ৪৫দিনের মধ্যে পৌরসভায় জন্ম নিবন্ধন সম্পূর্ন করা শিশুদের জন্ম নিবন্ধন কার্ড ও উপহার সামগ্রীর প্যাকেট বিতরণ করা হয়েছে। পৌর মেয়র মো.শাহনেওয়াজ আলী মোল্লার ব্যক্তিগত হতবিল থেকে দেওয়া অর্থায়নে ওই উপহার প্যাকেট সামগ্রী বিতরণ করা হয়।
গতকাল দুপুরে গুরুদাসপুর মেয়র নিজে বিভিন্ন ওয়ার্ডে জন্ম নিবন্ধন সম্পূর্ন করা শিশুদের বাড়ীতে গিয়ে উপহারের প্যাকেট তুলে দেন । প্যাকেটের মধ্যে ছিল নবজাতক শিশু স্বাস্থ্য সুরক্ষা ও খেলনা সামগ্রী।
নবজাতক শিশুর মা ও পরিবারের অভিভাবকগণ পৌর মেয়রের এমন মহতী উদ্যোগকে সাধুবাদ জানান। তারা আরও বলেন,পূর্বে আরও অনেক পৌর মেয়র ছিলেন কিন্তু এমন চিন্তা চেতনা,জন দরদী,জনহৈতষী মেয়র ছিল না।
পৌর মেয়র মো.শাহনেওয়াজ আলী জানান,আমার পৌরসভায় সকল ওয়ার্ডে শিশু জন্মের পরপরই জন্ম নিবন্ধনের আওতায় আসতে হবে। তাই শিশুর অভিভাবকদের উৎসাহী করতে এমন উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করেছি। কোন শিশুই নিবন্ধনের বাইরে থাকবে না। তিনি আরও জানান,আমার এই সৌজন্য উপহার প্যাকেট সকল শ্রেণী পেশা মানুষের জন্য অব্যাহত থাকবে।
এসময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন,পৌর সচিব হাফসা শারমিন ও কাউন্সিলরবৃন্দ।
