জমিতে কাজ করতে গিয়ে বিদ্যুৎস্পৃষ্টে ময়মনসিংহের ফুলপুরে বাবা-ছেলের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। বৃহস্পতিবার রাতে ফুলপুর থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) মো. আব্দুল্লাহ আল মামুন বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেন।
মৃতরা হলেন- উপজেলার সিংহেশ্বর ইউনিয়নের মোকামিয়া পূর্বপাড়া বওলাকান্দা গ্রামের শুকুর মাহমুদ (৬৫) ও তার ছেলে মিরাজ উদ্দিন (২৪)। তারা দুইজনই কৃষি কাজের সঙ্গে জড়িত ছিলেন। ওসি মো. আব্দুল্লাহ আল মামুন জানান, সকালে জমিতে কাজ করার জন্য বাড়ি থেকে বের হয়েছিলেন কৃষক শুকুর মাহমুদ। তবে বিকেল হয়ে গেলেও তিনি বাড়িতে না ফেরায় বাবার কাছে যান ছেলে মিরাজ। এ সময় তিনি জমিতে বাবাকে অচেতন অবস্থায় পড়ে থাকতে দেখে কাছে ছুটে যান। এতে বাবার সঙ্গে ছেলেও বিদ্যুৎস্পৃষ্ট হন।
তিনি আরও বলেন, স্থানীয়রা সন্ধ্যার দিকে টের পেয়ে তাদের উদ্ধার করে উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে নিয়ে গেলে কর্তব্যরত চিকিৎসক দুইজনকেই মৃত ঘোষণা করেন।
