প্রধানমন্ত্রীর ঈদ উপহার বিতরণ করলেন ময়মনসিংহ সিটি করপোরেশনের মেয়র মো. ইকরামুল হক টিটু।তিনি বলেন ,ঈদের সময়টাতে অযথা কেউ ঘুরাঘুরি করে নিজেকে ও অন্যকে করোনা ঝুঁকিতে ফেলবেন না। বন্ধ থাকা পার্কেও কেউ ভিড় করবেন না। আনন্দ করতে গিয়ে কোনো পরিবারে যেন করোনা নামক বিষাদ নেমে না আসে। মঙ্গলবার (২০ জুলাই) দুপুরে সরকারি টিচার্স ট্রেনিং কলেজ মাঠে অসহায়দের মাঝে নগদ অর্থসহায়তা বিতরণ অনুষ্ঠানে সিটি মেয়র এসব কথা বলেন।
এদিন প্রধানমন্ত্রীর উপহার হিসেবে করোনায় ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত ৪০০ অসহায় পরিবারকে ৫০০ টাকা করে নগদ অর্থসহায়তা তুলে দেন মসিক মেয়র। এসময় করোনা মহামারিরোধে সকলকে দ্রুত টিকা নেওয়ার আহ্বান জানিয়ে মেয়র ইকরামুল হক টিটু আরও বলেন, করোনায় সারা বিশ্ব স্থবির হয়ে পড়েছে, বহু মানুষের জীবন চলে যাচ্ছে। করোনার এ অভিশাপ থেকে মুক্তি পেতে হবে। স্বাভাবিক জীবনে ফিরতে হবে। তাই করোনার অভিশাপ থেকে মুক্তির জন্য টিকা নিন। নিজেকে এবং পরিবারকে সুরক্ষিত রাখুন।
অনুষ্ঠানে ময়মনসিংহ সিটি কর্পোরেশনের প্যানেল মেয়র-১ আসিফ হোসেন ডন, মসিকের জনসংযোগ কর্মকর্তা শেখ মহাবুল হোসেন রাজীব, ময়মনসিংহ চেম্বার অব কমার্স অ্যান্ড ইন্ডাস্ট্রির সিনিয়র সহসভাপতি শংকর সাহা প্রমুখ উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
