ময়মনসিংহে নির্মাণাধীন ভবনে এডিস মশার লার্ভা পাওয়ায় এক বাসার মালিককে জরিমানা করা হয়েছে। এডিস মশার বিস্তার রোধে নিয়মিত কার্যক্রমের অংশ হিসেবে পরিচালিত চিরুনি অভিযানে নতুনবাজার এলাকার নির্মাণাধীন ভবনে এডিস মশার লার্ভা পাওয়ায় ভবন মালিককে ১০ হাজার টাকা জরিমানা করেছে ময়মনসিংহ সিটি কর্পোরেশনের ভ্রাম্যমাণ আদালত।
আজ সোমবার বেলা ১১ টায় নির্বাহী ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট শাকিল আহমেদ পরিচালিত ভ্রাম্যমাণ আদালত এ জরিমানা করে।
এ সময় উপস্থিত ময়মনসিংহ সিটি কর্পোরেশনের প্রধান স্বাস্থ্য কর্মকর্তা ডাঃ এইচ কে দেবনাথ জানান, ময়মনসিংহ সিটি কর্পোরেশনের মেয়র মোঃ ইকরামুল হক টিটুর নির্দেশ ও পরামর্শ মোতাবেক করোনা মোকাবেলা ও ভ্যাক্সিন কার্যক্রমের সাথে মশক নিধনেও গুরুত্ব দিয়ে কাজ করছে ময়মনসিংহ সিটি কর্পোরেশন। ডেঙ্গু মোকাবিলায় সচেতনতা কার্যক্রমের সাথে কোন নির্মাণাধীন ভবন, বাসাবাড়ি বা প্রতিষ্ঠানে এডিস মশার লার্ভা পাওয়া গেলে তা আইনের আওতায় আনা হচ্ছে। এ কার্যক্রম চলমান থাকবে।
প্রধান স্বাস্থ্য কর্মকর্তা তিন দিনের বেশি জমে থাকা পানিতে যেন এডিস মশার বংশবিস্তার না ঘটতে পারে সে বিষয়ে সকলের সচেতনতা এবং সহযোগিতা কামনা করেন।
