করোনাভাইরাসের ঊর্ধ্বমুখী সংক্রমণ নিয়ন্ত্রণে সাতদিনের জন্য দেশজুড়ে কঠোর বিধিনিষেধ জারি করা হয়েছে। এ বিধিনিষেধ কার্যকর করতে টাঙ্গাইলের কালিহাতীতে কঠোর অবস্থানে রয়েছে উপজেলা প্রশাসন। উপজেলাজুড়ে নির্বাহী ম্যাজিস্ট্রেটের নেতৃত্বে ভ্রাম্যমাণ আদালতের অভিযান পরিচালিত হচ্ছে। সেনাবাহিনী, পুলিশ ও আনসার সদস্যদের সমন্বয়ে চলছে এ অভিযান।
তারই ধারাবাহিকতায় রোববার (৪ জুলাই) বিধিনিষেধের চতুর্থ দিনে কালিহাতী পৌর এলাকার বিভিন্ন স্থানে উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার ও নির্বাহী ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট রুমানা তানজিন অন্তরার নেতৃত্বে ভ্রাম্যমান আদালতের অভিযান পরিচালিত হয়।
এসময় কঠোর বিধিনিষেধ না মেনে দোকানপাট খোলা রাখা, মাস্ক পরিধান না করা এবং অপ্রয়োজনে বাড়ির বাইরে এসে ঘুরাঘুরি করার দায়ে ভ্রাম্যমাণ আদালতের মাধ্যমে ৮ জনকে ৪ হাজার ২ শত টাকা জরিমানা করেছন উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার ও নির্বাহী ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট রুমানা তানজিন অন্তরা। এসময় সাথে ছিলেন সেনাবাহিনীর ব্রিগেডিয়ার জেনারেল তৌহিদুল আহমেদ, লেফটেন্যান্ট কর্ণেল শামিম আহমেদ, কালিহাতী থানার ওসি মোল্লা আজিজুর রহমান, ক্যাপ্টেন রায়হান ও উপজেলা যুব উন্নয়ন কর্মকর্তা আব্দুল ছালেক প্রমুখ।
অপরদিকে বিধিনিষেধের চতুর্থ দিনেও সকাল থেকেই উপজেলার বেশ কয়েকটি সড়ক ঘুরে আইনশৃঙ্খলা বাহিনীর কঠোর অবস্থানের চিত্র দেখা গেছে। মোড়ে মোড়ে পুলিশ দাঁড়িয়ে রয়েছে, কালিহাতী থানার পক্ষ থেকে চেকপোস্ট বসানো হয়েছে। জরুরি প্রয়োজন ছাড়া রাস্তায় কাউকে থাকতে দেওয়া হচ্ছে না। সড়কে থামিয়ে কোথায় যাচ্ছেন, কেন যাচ্ছেন- এমন নানা প্রশ্নের পর যৌক্তিক জবাব দিতে পারলেই সাধারণ মানুষকে গন্তব্যে যেতে দেয়া হচ্ছে। না হয় ফিরিয়ে দেওয়া হচ্ছে চলাচলকারিদের। রাস্তায় গণপরিবহনও চলতে দেখা যায়নি।
