নাটোরের গুরুদাসপুরে লক্ষাধিক টাকার অবৈধ কারেন্ট জাল জব্দ করে ধ্বংস করেছেন ভ্রাম্যমান আদালত।
গতকাল দুপুরে গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে উপজেলা মৎস্য অধিদপ্তর পৌরসদরের চাঁচকৈড় বাজারে ওই অবৈধ কারেন্ট জাল জব্দে অভিযান চালানো হয়। অভিযানের নেতৃত্ব দেন উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা (ইউএনও) মো.তমাল হোসেন। বাজারে অভিযানের খবর পেয়ে জাল ব্যবসায়ীরা তাদের অবৈধ কারেন্ট জাল ফেলে রেখে পালিয়ে যায়। পরে ভ্রাম্যমান আদালতে ফেলে যাওয়া অবৈধ কারেন্ট জব্দ করা হয়। ভ্রাম্যমান আদালত পরিচালনা করেন উপজেলা নির্বাহী ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট (ইউএনও) মো.তমাল হোসেন।
উপজেলা মৎস্য কর্মকর্তা মো.আলমগীর হোসেনের তথ্য মতে জানা যায়,চাঁচকৈড় বাজারে অভিযানে জব্দকৃত অবৈধ কারেন্ট জালের আনুমানিক মূল্য হবে প্রায় লক্ষাধিক টাকা।
ভ্রাম্যমান আদালতের নির্বাহী ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট (ইউএনও) মো.তমাল হোসেন জানান, চাঁচকৈড় বাজারে অভিযান চালিয়ে অবৈধ কারেন্ট জাল জব্দ করা হয়েছে। তবে বাজারে কারেন্ট জাল ব্যবসায়ীকে না পাওয়ায় কারও অর্থদন্ড করা হয়নী। তিনিও আরও জানান জব্দকৃত কারেন্ট জাল উপজেলা চত্বরে আগুন ধরিয়ে ধ্বংসও করা হয়েছে।
