চলতি বোরো মৌসুমে কৃষক পর্যায় থেকে ২৭ টাকা কেজি দরে সাড়ে ৬ লাখ টন ধান কিনবে সরকার। আর চাল কেনা হবে ৪০ টাকা কেজি দরে।
সোমবার খাদ্যমন্ত্রী সাধন চন্দ্র মজুমদার এ কথা জানান।

তিনি বলেন, আগামী ২৮ তারিখ থেকে এই ধান সংগ্রহ করবে খাদ্য মন্ত্রণালয়।
একই ভাবে ১১ লাখ টন চাল সংগ্রহ করবে ৪০ টাকা দরে। এই চাল সংগ্রহ শুরু হবে ৭ মে থেকে।
