বিশ্বব্যাপী করোনা মহামারির মধ্যে উদযাপিত হচ্ছে মুসলমানদের অন্যতম ধর্মীয় উৎসব পবিত্র ঈদুল আজহা। আল-আকসা মসজিদ চত্বরেও দখলদার ইসরায়েলের সহিংস আগ্রাসন ছিল মঙ্গলবার ঈদের দিনও। আর তা উপেক্ষা করেই সেখানে হাজার হাজার মুসল্লি আদায় করেছেন ঈদের নামাজ।
মঙ্গলবার আল আকসার জেরুজালেম আল-কুদস শহরের পুরনো অংশে ঈদুল আজহার নামাজ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। রোববার থেকেই মুসলমানদের আক-আকসায় প্রবেশে বাধা দেয়া হয়। মসজিদ চত্বরে হামলা চালিয়ে ফিলিস্তিনি মুসলিমদের বেধড়ক মারপিটও করে ইসরাইলি সেনারা। ঈদের আগের দিন সোমবারই ইসরায়েলের কঠোর নিরাপত্তা বেষ্টনী ভেঙে মসজিদ চত্বরে হাজার হাজার মুসলিম প্রবেশ করেন।
গত মে মাসে পবিত্র ঈদুল ফিতরের কয়েক দিন আগে রোজার মধ্যে ইসরায়েলি সেনারা আল-আকসা মসজিদে আগ্রাসন চালালে গাজা উপত্যকায় দখলদারদের অভিমুখে রকেট বৃষ্টি চালিয়ে কঠোর জবাব দেয় হামাস। পরে এক সপ্তাহের বেশি রক্তক্ষয়ী সংঘর্ষ হয়। পরে বিশ্ব নেতাদের তৎপরতায় বন্ধ হয় সংঘর্ষ।
সৌদি আরবের মক্কার মসজিদুল হারাম ও মদিনার মসজিদে নববীর পর মুসলমানদের কাছে পবিত্র স্থান জেরুজালেমের আল-আকসা মসজিদ। খ্রিষ্টপূর্ব ১০০৪ সালে মসজিদটি পুনর্নির্মাণ করেন হযরত সোলায়মান আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম। দুইটি বড় ও ১০টি ছোট গম্বুজ বিশিষ্ট মসজিদটিতে প্রকাশ পেয়েছে নির্মাণ শৈলীর এক মনোমুগ্ধকর প্রতিচ্ছবি।
১৯৪৮ সালে ফিলিস্তিনি ভূমি অবৈধভাবে দখলের মাধ্যমে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয় ইসরায়েল। এর ধারাবাহিকতায় ১৯৬৭ সালে আরবদের সাথে যুদ্ধে, আল-আকসা মসজিদ দখল করে নেয় দেশটি। এরপর থেকেই এটি নিয়ন্ত্রণ করে আসছে দখলদার বাহিনী।
