১৯৭৪ সালে জাতির পিতা শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান জাতিসংঘে বাংলায় ভাষণ দিয়েছিলেন। শেখ হাসিনাও বঙ্গবন্ধুর সেই ধারা অব্যাহত রেখেছেন।
