ঞ্চগড় জেলার বোদা উপজেলায় যাত্রীবাহী বাসের ধাক্কায় সরকারি খাদ্য গুদামের ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি এলএসডি) সুবল কুমার সরকার (৫০) নিহত হয়েছেন। রোববার (৬ জুন) দুপুরে বোদা উপজেলার মন্নাপাড়া এলাকায় মহাসড়কে এ দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে।
সুবল কুমার ঠাকুরগাঁও জেলার দক্ষিণ বঠিনা ফারাবাড়ী এলাকার নরেশ চন্দ্র সরকারের ছেলে। পুলিশ ও স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা যায়, দুপুরে মোটরসাইকেলে করে সুবল কুমার ঠাকুরগাঁও নিজ বাড়ি থেকে পঞ্চগড়ে কর্মস্থলের উদ্দেশে যাচ্ছিলেন। পথে মন্নাপাড়া এলাকায় পৌঁছালে বিপরীত দিক থেকে ছেড়ে আসা নিশাত নামে যাত্রীবাহী একটি বাস তাকে সামনে থেকে ধাক্কা দেয়। এতে মোটরসাইকেল সহ তিনি ছিটকে পড়ে গুরুতর আহত হন। স্থানীয়রা তাকে দ্রুত উদ্ধার করে বোদা উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে নিয়ে গেলে দায়িত্বরত চিকিৎসক তাকে মৃত ঘোষণা করেন।
এ ঘটনার পরপরই স্থানীয়দের সহযোগিতায় বাসটি পুলিশ আটক করলেও চালক ও হেলপার পালিয়ে যায়। বোদা থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) আবু সাঈদ চৌধুরী সড়ক দুর্ঘটনায় খাদ্য গুদামের ওই কর্মকর্তার নিহত হওয়ার বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করে সাংবাদিকে বলেন, ঘটনার পর থেকে বাসটির চালক ও হেলপার পলাতক। মরদেহ উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে। পরিবারের পক্ষ থেকে কোনো অভিযোগ পেলে আইনি ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে।
