পঞ্চগড়ের তেঁতুলিয়া উপজেলার বাংলাবান্ধা স্থলবন্দরের আমদানি-রপ্তানি কার্যক্রম সাতদিনের জন্য বন্ধ ঘোষণা করেছে আমদানি-রপ্তানিকারক অ্যাসোসিয়েশন।
শনিবার (২৯ মে) দিনগত রাতে পঞ্চগড় বাংলাবান্ধা স্থলবন্দরের আমদানি-রপ্তানিকারক অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের সভাপতি মেহেদী হাসান খান বাবলা এর স্বাক্ষরিত এক সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তির মাধ্যমে বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন।
বিজ্ঞপ্তি সুত্রে জানা যায়, গত মঙ্গলবার (২৫ মে) বাংলাবান্ধা স্থলবন্দরে আলোচনা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।এতে এলাকার ব্যবসায়ী,বন্দর শ্রমিক,জনপ্রতিনিধি, স্থানীয়রা বলেন ভারত, নেপাল এবং ভুটানে আমদানি-রপ্তানি হয়ে আসছে এতে করে বাংলাদেশ করোনার ভাইরাস বিস্তার করতে পারে। করোনা ভাইরাসের প্রভাবে পঞ্চগড়সহ দেশে ঝুঁকিতে আছে মানুষ তাই করোনা পরিস্থিতি সতর্কতায় এই সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়া হয়েছে।
তবে,আমদানি-রপ্তানিকারক অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের সভাপতি মেহেদী হাসান খান বাবলা জানায়, রবিবার(৩০ মে) থেকে আগামী বৃহস্পতিবার (৩ জুন) পর্যন্ত ৬ দিন এবং শুক্রবার সরকারি ছুটি হওয়ায় ১ দিনসহ মোট ৭দিন বাংলাবান্ধা স্থলবন্দরের আমদানি-রপ্তানি কার্যক্রম বন্ধ থাকবে।
