চট্টগ্রামে ভিন্ন নামে পাসপোর্ট করতে এসে এক রোহিঙ্গা নারীকে আটক করা হয়েছে। বৃহস্পতিবার বিকেলে চট্টগ্রামের বিভাগীয় পাসপোর্ট ও ভিসা অফিসে তাকে আটক করেন পাসপোর্ট অফিসের কর্মকর্তারা।
ওই রোহিঙ্গা নারীর নাম সালমা খাতুন (৩৩)। কিন্তু তিনি সিরাজ খাতুন নামে পাসপোর্টের জন্য আবেদন করেন।
চট্টগ্রামের বিভাগীয় পাসপোর্ট ও ভিসা অফিসের ২ নম্বর কাউন্টারে ইন্টারভিউ দিতে আসার পর ওই নারীর কথাবার্তায় কিছুটা সন্দেহ হয় কর্মকর্তাদের। রোহিঙ্গাদের ভাষায় কথা বলায় আঙ্গুলের ছাপ যাচাই করে তাকে রোহিঙ্গা নাগরিক হিসেবে শনাক্ত করা হয়।
চট্টগ্রাম বিভাগীয় পাসপোর্ট ও ভিসা অফিসের সহকারী পরিচালক সাধন সাহা বলেন, ভুয়া কাগজপত্র ব্যবহার করে মিয়ানমারের নাগরিক হয়ে বাংলাদেশের নাগরিক হিসেবে পাসপোর্ট করার চেষ্টার অভিযোগে সালমা খাতুনকে আটক করা হয়।
ওই রোহিঙ্গা নারীর নাম সালমা খাতুন হলেও তিনি সিরাজ খাতুন নামে পাসপোর্টের জন্য আবেদন করেন। তার সাথে আর কারা জড়িত আছে তা খতিয়ে দেখা হচ্ছে। আটকের পর তাকে পুলিশের কাছে হস্তান্তর করা হয়েছে।
