মোঃ আসাদুর রহমান শিমু, কুড়িগ্রাম জেলা প্রতিনিধি: আসন্ন রাজারহাট উপজেলার সদর ইউনিয়নের নির্বাচন কে ঘিরে মাঠ গরম করে চলছেন প্রার্থীরা।করোনার প্রকোপ বৃদ্ধি পেলেও থেমে নেই নির্বাচনী চায়ের আড্ডায় খোশ গল্প।কে হতে যাচ্ছেন এবারের সদর ইউনিয়নের চেয়ারম্যান সেই আলোচনা এখন সর্বত্র।
হেভিওয়েট প্রার্থীদের নির্বাচনে অংশ গ্রহণের ঘোষণায় বিপাকে পড়েছেন সাধারণ ভোটারেরা। সরেজমিনে ঘুরে জানা যায়,এবারের রাজারহাট সদর ইউনিয়ন পরিষদ নির্বাচনে তুমুল প্রতিযোগিতা হবে বলে জানিয়েছেন একাধিক সুত্র।মোট নয়জন প্রার্থী এবারের নির্বাচনে প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বীতা করবেন বলে নিশ্চিত হওয়া গেছে।বর্তমান চেয়ারম্যান এনামুল হক এবারো নৌকা মার্কা নিয়ে নির্বাচনের কথা জানান।তিনি টানা দুই মেয়াদে রাজারহাট সদর ইউনিয়নের চেয়ারম্যান হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করছেন।
এবারও জয়ের ব্যাপারে তিনি আশাবাদী।গত নির্বাচনে পরাজিত প্রার্থী আজগর আলী এবারও নির্বাচনে অংশ গ্রহণের প্রস্তুতি নিচ্ছেন।তিনি বাংলাদেশ আওয়ামীলীগ রাজারহাট উপজেলা শাখার সিনিয়র সহ সভাপতি ও শহিদ পরিবারের সন্তান।ছাত্রজীবন থেকে তিনি আওয়ামীলীগের রাজনীতির সাথে ওতপ্রোতভাবে জড়িত।তিনি বলেন আমি নৌকা মার্কা পাওয়ার যোগ্য দাবিদার।আওয়ামীলীগ ও দেশের প্রতি আমার পরিবারের অবদান আছে,আমি আশা করি দল সেই বিবেচনা করে আমাকে নৌকা মার্কা দিবেন।এছাড়াও ঢাকা বনানী স্বেচ্ছাসেবক লীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক রহিম বাদশা নিজ মাতৃভূমি রাজারহাট সদর ইউনিয়নে নির্বাচনের ঘোষণা দেওয়ায় জন সাধারনের মাঝে ব্যাপক সাড়া ফেলছেন।
প্রতিদিন কোন নাহ কোন কর্মজীবী মানুষের কাছে ছুটে যাচ্ছেন দোয়া নিতে।তিনি সাংবাদিক কে জানান,নির্বাচন করার জন্যই তো জন সাধারনের দ্বারে দ্বারে ছুটছি।দল যদি আমাকে নৌকা মার্কা দেয় তাহলে আমি নির্বাচনে অংশ নিবো আর দল যদি মার্কা না দেয় তাহলে দলের সিদ্ধান্ত মেনে নিয়ে নৌকা মার্কার প্রার্থীর পক্ষে কাজ করবো।আওয়ামীলীগ পরিবারের সন্তান রাজারহাট উপজেলা ছাত্রলীগের সাবেক যুগ্ন সাধারণ সম্পাদক ও সাবেক উপজেলা যুবলীগের আহবায়ক কমিটির অন্যতম সদস্য রাজারহাট সরকারী মীর ইসমাইল হোসেন ডিগ্রী কলেজের সহকারী অধ্যক্ষ সাজেদুর মন্ডল চাদের ছোট ভাই এটিএম মাজেদুর মন্ডল বুলন নৌকা মার্কা প্রত্যাশা করে নির্বাচনে অংশগ্রহণের কথা জানান।তিনি সাংবাদিক কে বলেন গতবার নির্বাচনে আমিও নৌকা মার্কা চেয়েছিলাম কিন্তু পাইনি এবারও চাইবো,যদি দল আমাকে নমিনেশন দেয় তাহলে নৌকা মার্কা কে বিজয়ী করে রাজারহাট সদর ইউনিয়ন কে একটি মডেল ইউনিয়নে পরিণত করবো।
এছাড়াও আওয়ামীলীগের নমিনেশন নিয়ে নির্বাচন করার আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করেছেন হরিশ্বর তালুক উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ের সাবেক প্রধান শিক্ষক ও রাজারহাট ইউনিয়ন আওয়ামীলীগের সহ সভাপতি লতিফ মির্জা।আওয়ামীলীগ প্রার্থীদের পাশাপাশি জাতীয় পার্টির একক প্রার্থী হিসেবে লাঙ্গল প্রতিক নিয়ে নির্বাচনের কথা জানান সাবেক উপজেলা চেয়ারম্যান জাহাঙ্গীর আলমের ছোট ভাই জামায়েত হোসেন খোকন চৌধুরী।তিনি রাজারহাট সদর ইউনিয়নের সাবেক চেয়ারম্যান ছিলেন।পুনরায় চেয়ারম্যান নির্বাচিত হয়ে রাজারহাট ইউনিয়ন কে আধুনিক ও মাদক মুক্ত উন্নত ইউনিয়ন গড়ার প্রত্যয় ব্যক্ত করেন।রাজারহাট উপজেলা বিএনপির সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক শহিদুল হক ধানের শীষ প্রতিক নিয়ে নির্বাচনে অংশ গ্রহণের কথা জানান।তিনি বলেন যদি বিএনপি স্থানীয় নির্বাচনে অংশগ্রহণ করে তাহলে আমি ধানের শীষ প্রতিকের একক প্রার্থী হিসেবে নির্বাচনে অংশগ্রহণ করবো।
রাজারহাট উপজেলার উদয়মান তরুন সমাজ সেবক সংগ্রামী আজম স্বতন্ত্র প্রার্থী হিসেবে নির্বাচনে অংশগ্রহণের কথা জানান।এছাড়া রাজারহাট বাজার কাচামাল ব্যবসায়ীদের সমিতির সাধারণ সম্পাদক ইয়াছিন আলী স্বতন্ত্র প্রার্থী হিসেবে নির্বাচনে অংশগ্রহণের কথা জানান।রাজারহাট উপজেলার সদর ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের নির্বাচন সম্পর্কে একাধিক ভোটারদের কাছে তাদের অভিমত জানতে চাইলে তারা বলেন,এবারের নির্বাচনে প্রায় সব প্রার্থীই শক্তিশালী ও জনসমর্থন যতেষ্ট রয়েছে।কে যে নির্বাচিত হবেন তা আগে থেকে বলা কঠিন।তবে সব থেকে অধিক যোগ্য প্রার্থী কে বেচে নিয়ে এবারের চেয়ারম্যান নির্বাচিত করবো।
