সিলেটের জকিগঞ্জ উপজেলার বারহাল ইউনিয়নে আজ ২০ সেপ্টেম্বর, ২০২১ সোমবার সকাল ১০:০০ ঘটিকার সময় এফআইভিডিবি-সূচনা প্রকল্প কর্তৃক ধর্মীয় নেতৃবৃন্দের নিয়ে পুষ্টি বিষয়ক প্রশিক্ষণ সম্পন্ন হয়। উক্ত প্রশিক্ষণে বারহাল ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান জনাব মোস্তাক আহমদ চৌধুরীর সভাপতিত্বে, সূচনা প্রকল্পের নিউট্রিশন অফিসার মোঃ আবু সাঈদ ও ইউনিয়ন কোঅর্ডিনেটর মো: আজাদ মিয়ার পরিচালনায় উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিভিন্ন মসজিদের ইমাম ও গণ্যমান্য ব্যাক্তিবর্গ।
এসময় করোনাভাইরাস (কোভিড-১৯) প্রেক্ষাপট ও আমাদের করনীয়, বাংলাদেশ ও সিলেটে অপুষ্টির বর্তমান অবস্থা, বাংলাদেশ সরকারের গৃহীত উদ্যোগ, অপুষ্টির প্রধান কারণসমূহ ও প্রকারভেদ, অপুষ্টির দুষ্টচক্র, সূচনা কি এবং সূচনার লক্ষ্য, উদ্দেশ্য ও কার্যক্রম সমূহ, খাদ্য ও পুষ্টি, গর্ভকালীন ও প্রসূতি মায়ের যত্ন, শিশুকে শুধু মায়ের দুধ খাওয়ানো, সূচনায় জেন্ডার সমন্বয় সম্পর্কীত ধারণা, সূচনার প্রত্যক্ষ ও পরোক্ষ কার্যক্রম বাস্তবায়নে সমন্বয়, জরুরি পুষ্টি এবং পুষ্টির অবস্থা উন্নয়নে ধর্মীয় নেতৃবৃন্দের ভূমিকা ও কর্মপরিকল্পনা প্রণয়ন করা হয়। উল্লেখ্য যে, ইউরোপীয়ান ইউনিয়ন ও ইউকেএইড এর অর্থায়নে সেইভ দ্যা সিল্ড্রেন ইন্টারন্যাশনাল এর তত্ত্বাবধানে এবং এফআইভিডিবি এর মাধ্যমে জকিগঞ্জ উপজেলার দরিদ্র ও অতিদরিদ্র পরিবারের মা ও শিশু পুষ্টি উন্নয়নের মাধ্যমে ২ বছরের কম বয়সী শিশুদের খর্বাকৃতির হার ৩ বছরে অতিরিক্ত ৬% কমিয়ে আনার জন্য সূচনা কর্মসূচি পরিচালিত হচ্ছে ।
