সিলেটের গোয়াইনঘাট থানা পুলিশের অভিযানে ১ কেজি গাজাসহ এক মাদক ব্যবসায়ীকে আটক করেছে গোয়াইনঘাট থানা পুলিশ। আটক ব্যক্তির নাম মুহিবুর রহমান মন্টু। তার বাড়ি গোয়াইনঘাট উপজেলার পশ্চিম জাফলং ইউনিয়নের সুলতান পুর গ্রামে।
পুলিশ সূত্রে জানা যায়, গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে শনিবার রাত আড়াইটায় অভিযান চালিয়ে এসআই প্রলয় রায়,এএসআই মশিউর,এএসআই তমিজুর রহমান সঙ্গীয় ফোর্সসহ উপজেলার ২নং পশ্চিম জাফলং ইউনিয়নের সুলতানপুর এলাকা থেকে গাঁজা সহ মাদক ব্যবসায়ীকে গ্রেফতার করেন। ধৃত মাদক চোরাকারবারির বিরুদ্ধে গোয়াইনঘাট থানায় মাদক আইনে একটি মামলা (নং-১৯) রুজু করা হয়েছে।
এব্যাপারে গোয়াইনঘাট থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ পরিমল চন্দ্র দেব জানান, গোয়াইনঘাট থানা এলাকায় নিয়মিত মাদক বিরোধী অভিযান পরিচালনা করা হচ্ছে। এরই ধারাবাহিকতায় গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে মাদক পাচারকালে গোয়াইনঘাট থানাধীন পশ্চিম জাফলং ইউনিয়নের সুলতানপুর এলাকা থেকে ১ কেজি গাঁজাসহ ১ চিহ্নিত মাদক কারবারিকে আটক করা হয়। ধৃত মাদক কারবারির বিরুদ্ধে গোয়াইনঘাট থানায় মাদকদ্রব্য নিয়ন্ত্রণ আইনে একটি মামলা রুজু করা হয়েছে এবং তাকে জেল হাজতে প্রেরণ করা হয়েছে।
