গোলাপগঞ্জে নির্যাতনের পর গৃহবধুর মুখে বিষ ঢেলে দেয়ার অভিযোগে স্বামী ও শাশুড়িকে গ্রেফতার করে কারাগারে প্রেরণ করা হয়েছে। শনিবার আদালতের মাধ্যমে তাদেরকে কারাগারে প্রেরণ করে গোলাপগঞ্জ মডেল থানা পুলিশ।
জানা যায়, ২০১৭ সালে উপজেলার দক্ষিণ ঘোষগাঁও গ্রামের মধু মিয়ার ছেলে ছয়ফুল ইসলামের সাথে উপজেলার খর্দ্দাপাড়া গ্রামের সাজ্জাদ আলীর মেয়ে রাজনা বেগমের বিয়ে হয়। বিয়ের পর থেকেই বিভিন্ন সময় যৌতুকের জন্য নির্যাতন করত শশুর বাড়ির লোকজন। বৃহস্পতিবার মধ্যরাতে রাজনা বেগমকে যৌতুকের জন্য মারধর করা হয়। প্রতিবাদ করায় তার মুখে বিষ ঢেলে দিয়ে অসুস্থ বলে গৃহবধুর ভাইকে খবর দেয় ছয়ফুল। পরে গৃহবধুর ভাই সেখানে উপস্থিত হয়ে তাকে উদ্ধার করে উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে নিয়ে যায়। সেখানে প্রাথমিক চিকিৎসা প্রদান করে সিলেট এমএজি ওসমানী মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে প্রেরণ করা হয়। বর্তমানে তিনি সেখানে চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় রয়েছেন।
এঘটনায় গৃহবধুর ভাই আব্দুস সামাদ স্বামী, শাশুড়ী ও দেবরকে অভিযুক্ত করে গোলাপগঞ্জ মডেল থানায় মামলা (নং-১৯/১৭.০৯.২০২১) দায়ের করেন।
অভিযোগের প্রেক্ষিতে অভিযান পরিচালনা করে গৃহবধুর স্বামী ছয়ফুল ইসলাম ছফু ও শাশুড়ি নেওয়া বেগমকে গ্রেফতার করে।
সত্যতা নিশ্চিত করে গোলাপগঞ্জ মডেল থানার উপ-পরিদর্শক ফয়জুল করিম জানান, গ্রেফতারকৃত আসামীদের আদালতের মাধ্যমে কারাগারে প্রেরণ করা হয়েছে।
