অর্থ আত্মসাতের মামলায় গ্রেফতার ইভ্যালির প্রধান নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা (সিইও) মো. রাসেল কিছুটা অসুস্থ বোধ করায় তাকে হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যায় গুলশান থানার পুলিশ। চিকিৎসা শেষে আবার তাকে পুলিশ হেফাজতে নিয়ে আসা হয়েছে।
তিনি বলেন, শুক্রবার রাত সাড়ে ৯টায় হঠাৎ গ্যাসের সমস্যার কারণে অসুস্থতা বোধ করলে চিকিৎসার জন্য তাকে গুলশান থানা থেকে ঢাকা মেডিক্যাল কলেজ (ঢামেক) হাসপাতালে নেওয়া হয়। পরে সেখান থেকে পুরান ঢাকার মিটফোর্ড হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়। সেখানকার চিকিৎসক তাকে প্রাথমিক চিকিৎসা দিয়েছে। বর্তমানে তিনি পুলিশ হেফাজতে আছেন।
মিটফোর্ড হাসপাতালের পরিচালক ব্রিগেডিয়ার জেনারেল কাজী মো. রশীদ-উন-নবী বাংলানিউজকে বলেন, রাত এগারোটার দিকে আইন-শৃঙ্খলা বাহিনীর সদস্যরা রাসেলকে মিটফোর্ড হাসপাতালে নিয়ে আসেন। পরে কর্তব্যরত চিকিৎসক তাকে প্রাথমিক চিকিৎসা দেন।
