দীর্ঘদিনের পারিবারিক কলহের জেরে শাশুড়ি রোকেয়া বেগমকে (৫৪) ছুরিকাঘাতে হত্যা করেছেন বলে আদালতে ১৬৪ ধারায় জবানবন্দি দিয়েছেন পুত্রবধূ নাছমিন আক্তার।
শুক্রবার (২ জুলাই) চট্টগ্রামের জুডিশিয়াল ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট খন্দকার কৌশিক আহমেদের আদালতে তিনি এ জবানবন্দি দেন। বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন সাতকানিয়া সার্কেলের অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার (এএসপি) জাকারিয়া রহমান জিকু।
তিনি বলেন, ‘শাশুড়ি হত্যাকাণ্ডে দায়ের করা মামলায় গ্রেফতার নাছমিন আক্তারকে গত ২৯ জুন তিনদিনের রিমান্ডে নেয় পুলিশ। জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ শেষে শুক্রবার তাকে আদালতে প্রেরণ করা হয়। পরে আদালতে তিনি হত্যাকাণ্ডের দায় স্বীকার করে ১৬৪ ধারায় জবানবন্দি দিয়েছেন।’
আদালত সূত্রে জানা গেছে, চট্টগ্রামের সাতকানিয়া উপজেলার খাগরিয়া ইউনিয়নের বাসিন্দা রোকেয়া বেগম ও তার পুত্রবধূ নাছমিন আক্তারের মধ্যে পারিবারিক নানা বিষয়ে দীর্ঘদিন ধরে বিরোধ চলে আসছিল। একপর্যায়ে গত ২১ জুন সন্ধ্যায় শাশুড়িকে ছুরিকাঘাত করে নাছমিন আক্তার। এরপর তিনি পালিয়ে যাওয়ার পথে স্থানীয়রা আটক করে তাকে পুলিশে সোপর্দ করে।
তিনদিন চিকিৎসাধীন থাকার পর চট্টগ্রাম মা ও শিশু হাসপাতালে ২৪ জুন মৃত্যুবরণ করেন তার শাশুড়ি। গ্রেফতার নাছমিন আক্তারকে ২৯ জুন তিনদিনের রিমান্ডে নেয় পুলিশ। রিমান্ড শেষে নাছমিন আক্তারকে আদালতে প্রেরণ করা হলে তিনি পারিবারিক কলহের জেরে শাশুড়িকে ছুরিকাঘাতে হত্যা করেছেন বলে স্বীকারোক্তিমূলক জবানবন্দি দেন।
স্থানীয়দের অভিযোগ, নাছমিন আক্তারের বাড়ি রাঙ্গনিয়া উপজেলায়। তার এক ভাই অ্যাডভোকেট এবং আরেক ভাই পুলিশের উপ-পরিদর্শক (এসআই)। এ প্রভাবে তিনি প্রায় সময় শাশুড়ির সঙ্গে ঝগড়া করতেন। একপর্যায়ে শাশুড়িকে ছুরিকাঘাতে হত্যা করেন।
