অমর ডি কস্তা, নাটোর প্রতিনিধি: নাটোরের বাগাতিপাড়া উপজেলার জামনগরে বয়স্ক স্বামী-স্ত্রী’র রক্তাক্ত লাশ উদ্ধার করেছে পুলিশ। শনিবার সকালে বাগাতিপাড়া মডেল থানা পুলিশ ঘটনাস্থলে গিয়ে নিহত দম্পত্তির মৃতদেহ উদ্ধার করে। পুলিশ পাশাপাশি ঘটনার কারণ খুঁজতে এবং ঘাতকদের চিহ্নিত করতে তদন্ত শুরু করেছে।
পুলিশ ও স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা যায়, উপজেলার জামনগর ইউনিয়নের জামনগর পুরাতন পশ্চিমপাড়ার আমির আলী (৭০) ও তার স্ত্রী আলেকা বেগম (৬৫) গৃহপালিত গরু পাহারা দেয়ার জন্য ঘরের ভিতরে না শুয়ে অন্য দিনের মতোই নিজ ঘরের বারান্দায় চৌকিতে মশারি টাঙ্গিয়ে ঘুমিয়ে ছিলেন। রাতের কোন এক সময় কে বা কাহারা এই বয়স্ক দম্পত্তিকে ধারালো অস্ত্র দিয়ে কুপিয়ে হত্যা করেছে।
শনিবার সকালে প্রতিবেশীরা বাড়িতে উভয়ের রক্তাত লাশ দেখতে পেয়ে পুলিশে খবর দেয়। এসময় নিহত উভয়ের মাথা ও গলাসহ শরীরের বিভিন্ন জায়গায় ধারালো অস্ত্র দিয়ে কুপিয়ে জখমের ক্ষত দেখা যায়। নিহতের একমাত্র ছেলে চাকুরী সুবাদে স্ত্রীসহ দীর্ঘদিন থেকে ঢাকার গাজীপুর এলাকায় অবস্থান করায় নিহত আমির আলী স্ত্রীসহ নিজ বাড়িতে বসবাস করতেন। প্রাথমিক ভাবে গরু চুরি করার সময় দেখে ফেলায় তাদের হত্যা করা হয়েছে এমন ধারনা করলেও কোন গরু চুরি না হওয়ায় হত্যার রহস্য আরো জটিল হয়ে পড়েছে। এলাকাবাসীরা বলেন, নিহতের একমাত্র নাতি মেহেদী হাসান লেমন (১৭) কে শনিবার সকালে একবার এই বাড়িতে দেখা গেছে। মেহেদী হাসান লেমন মাদকাসক্ত। তাই এ ঘটনার সাথে তার কোন সর্ম্পক আছে কি না পুলিশ ক্ষতিয়ে দেখছে। ঘটনার পর থেকে মেহেদী হাসান লেমনও পলাতক রয়েছে।
বাগাতিপাড়া মডেল থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ মোঃ নাজমুল হক বলেন, আমরা ঘটনার তদন্ত শুরু করেছি, লাশের ময়না তদন্ত ও মামলা দায়েরের পাশাপাশি হত্যার রহস্য উৎঘাটনের চেষ্টা করছি।
