মো: বাবলু মল্লিক (কালিয়া) প্রতিনিধি : নড়াইলের কালিয়া উপজেলার পৌর এলাকায় স্বামী-স্ত্রীর ঝগড়া থামাতে গিয়ে লাঠির আঘাতে রুবেল ব্যাপারী (২৮) নামের এক যুবকের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। রোববার (২৫ এপ্রিল) বেলা ১১টার দিকে খুলনা মেডিকেল কলেজ (খুমেক) হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় তিনি মারা যান।
এ ঘটনায় জড়িত সন্দেহে পাঁচজনকে আটক করেছে পুলিশ। আটকরা হলেন- কাঞ্চন মোল্যা (৩২), তার শ্বশুর আব্দুর রহিম মোল্যা (৫৫), জসিম মোল্যা (১৯), রুবেল মোল্যা (২১) ও রানা মোল্যা (২২)। স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা যায়, পৌর সভার বড়কালিয়া গ্রামের রহিমার মেয়ে ছুটু বিবির সঙ্গে একই গ্রামের কাঞ্চনের ৩-৪ বছর আগে বিয়ে হয়। কাঞ্চন বিয়ের পর থেকে শ্বশুর রহিমের বাড়িত থাকতেন। কাঞ্চন ও স্ত্রী ছুটু বিবির মধ্য পারিবারিক কলহ প্রায় লেগে থাকত। শনিবার রাত ১১টার দিকে প্রতিদিনের ন্যায় তাদের স্বামী-স্ত্রীর মধ্যে ঝগড়া শুরু হয়।
এ সময় ঝগড়া থামাতে প্রতিবেশী রুবেল ব্যাপারী এগিয়ে আসলে তার মাথায় কে বা কারা লাঠি দিয়ে বাড়ি মারে। এতে তিনি গুরুতর জখম হন। প্রথমে কালিয়ায় পরে উন্নত চিকিৎসার জন্য দ্রুত তাকে খুলনা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে নেয়া হয়। পরদিন বেলা ১১টায় চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় তিনি মারা যান। নড়াইলের কালিয়া থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ (ওসি) সেখ কনি মিয়া বলেন, ঘটনাস্থল থেকে পাঁচজনকে আটক করা হয়েছে, মামলা দায়েরের প্রস্তুতি চলছে।
