মাদারীপুরে সাংবাদিকদের অংশগ্রহণে শুরু হয়েছে মাদারীপুর জেলা সাংবাদিক গোল্ডকাপ ফুটবল টুর্নামেন্ট ২০২১। শুক্রবার(১০ সেপ্টেম্বর) বিকাল ৩ ঘটিকার সময় মাদারীপুর আছমত আলী খান স্টেডিয়াম টার্ফ মাঠে এই খেলার উদ্বোধন করেন বাংলাদেশ আওয়ামী লীগের প্রেসিডিয়াম সদস্য শাজাহান খান এমপি। মাদারীপুর জেলার সাংবাদিকদের শীর্ষ সংগঠন মৈত্রী মিডিয়া সেন্টারের আয়োজন ও মাদারীপুর জেলা ফুটবল এসোসিয়েশনের সহযোগিতায় এদের মধ্যে উপস্থিত ছিলেন মাদারীপুরের জেলা প্রশাসক ড. রহিমা খাতুন, সদর উপজেলা পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান এ্যাডভোকেট ওবাইদুর রহমান খান,সদর উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার মো: সাইফুদ্দিন গিয়াস, মাদারীপুর জেলা আওয়ামী লীগের সহ-সভাপতি সৈয়দ আবুল বাশার, সদর উপজেলা আওয়ামী লীগের সভাপতি সৈয়দ শাখাওয়াত হোসেন সেলিম।
এছাড়া রাজনৈতিক, সামাজিক, সাংবাদিক, বিভিন্ন সংগঠক ক্রীড়ামোদীসহ অনেকেই। এতে সভাপতিত্ব করেন মৈত্রী মিডিয়া সেন্টারের সভাপতি মাহবুবর রহমান বাদল। জেলা সাংবাদিক গোল্ডকাপ ফুটবল টুর্নামেন্টে জেলার ৫টি উপজেলার সাংবাদিক সংগঠনের সাংবাদিকরা অংশগ্রহন করছেন।এসময়ে আরো উপস্থিত ছিলেন মাদারীপুর প্রেসক্লাব সভাপতি শাজাহান খান, সাংবাদিক কল্যান সমিতির সভাপতি গোলাম মাওলা আকন্দ, সাধারণ সম্পাদক এম আর মার্তুজা,মৈত্রী মিডিয়া সাধারণ সম্পাদক এস এম আরাফাত হাসানসহ মৈত্রী মিডিয়া নেতৃবৃন্দ ও সাংবাদিকবৃন্দ।
খেলার প্রথম দিনে উদ্বোধনীয় ম্যাচে মুখোমুখি হয় মাদারীপুর জেলা প্রেসক্লাব বনাম কালকিনি উপজেলা রিপোটার্স ইউনিটি । এতে মাদারীপুর প্রেসক্লাব কে ১-০ গোলে হারিয়ে বিজয়ী হওয়ার গৌরব অর্জন করেন কালকিনি উপজেলা রিপোর্টার্স ইউনিটি। দ্বিতীয় খেলায় মৈত্রী মিডিয়া-১ বনাম রাজৈর সাংবাদিক ফোরাম অংশ নেয়। এতে রাজৈর সাংবাদিক ফোরাম বিজয়ী হয়। ৮টি দলে বিভক্ত হয়ে এই খেলা চলবে আগামী ১৫ সেপ্টেম্বর পর্যন্ত।
