করোনা সংক্রমণ ও উপসর্গ নিয়ে রাজশাহী মেডিক্যাল কলেজ (রামেক) হাসপাতালে আরো আটজনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় হাসপাতালটির করোনা ইউনিটে চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় মারা গেছেন তাঁরা।
মৃতদের মধ্যে একজন করোনা পজেটিভ ছিলেন। বাকি সাতজন করোনা উপসর্গ নিয়ে মারা গেছেন। এর মধ্যে রাজশাহীর চারজন এবং নাটোর, নওগাঁ, পাবনা ও কুষ্টিয়ার একজন করে মারা গেছেন। এঁদের মধ্যে চারজন পুরুষ ও চারজন নারী।
চলতি মাসে এ নিয়ে মোট ৬৮ জনের মৃত্যু হলো। হাসপাতালটিতে এর আগে আগস্টে ৩৬৪ জন, জুলাইয়ে ৫৩১ জন এবং জুনে ৪০৫ জন মারা গেছেন।
রামেক হাসপাতালের পরিচালক ব্রিগেডিয়ার জেনারেল শামীম ইয়াজদানী আজ শুক্রবার (১০ সেপ্টেম্বর) এসব তথ্য জানিয়েছেন।
শামীম ইয়াজদানী আরো জানান, গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়েছেন ২৮ জন। সুস্থ হয়ে বাড়ি ফিরে গেছেন ১৩ জন। শুক্রবার সকাল ৮টা পর্যন্ত হাসপাতালের করোনা ইউনিটে ভর্তি ছিলেন ১৫৯ জন। হাসপাতালে করোনা ডেডিকেটেড শয্যা ২৪০টি।
গতকাল বৃহস্পতিবার রাজশাহী জেলার মোট ৬২৭টি নমুনা পরীক্ষা করা হয়েছে। এতে ৫৫ জনের দেহে করোনা ভাইরাস শনাক্ত হয়েছে। সংক্রমণের হার ১০ দশমিক ৮৩ শতাংশ।
