মঙ্গলবার (৩১ আগস্ট) সকালে এই তথ্য নিশ্চিত করেছেন হাসপাতালের তত্বাবধায়ক ডা. আবদুল মোমেন।
জানা গেছে, গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় ২৫৯ জনের নমুনা পরীক্ষায় কুষ্টিয়া সদরের নতুন ৪৫ জনের করোনা শনাক্ত হয়েছে। নমুনা পরীক্ষা বিবেচনায় শনাক্তের হার ১৭.৩৭ শতাংশ। এ সময় আরও ১২৫ জন করোনা রোগী সুস্থ হয়েছেন।
তত্বাবধায়ক ডা. আবদুল মোমেন জানান, হাসপাতালে করোনা রোগী কমছে। করোনা ডেডিকেডেট জেনারেল হাসপাতালের নির্ধারিত ২শ বেডের অনুকূলে গতকালের চেয়ে আরও ৬ জন কমে বর্তমানে ভর্তি আছে ৮০ জন। এর মধ্যে করোনায় শনাক্ত ৪৯ জন। উপসর্গ আছে ৩১ জনের।
সিভিল সার্জন ডাক্তার আনোয়ারুল ইসলাম জানান, কুষ্টিয়ায় ৭ দিনে উপসর্গ ছাড়া শুধুমাত্র করোনায় ২২ জনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। এপর্যন্ত মোট আক্রান্ত ১৭ হাজার ৬শ ৮৮ জন, এর মধ্যে সুস্থ হয়েছেন ১৫ হাজার ৮শ ৩৪ জন। এদিকে সংকটের মধ্যে ধীর গতিতে করোনার টিকাদান কর্মসূচী চলছে।
