কিশোরগঞ্জের ভৈরবে নানা আনুষ্ঠানিকতার মধ্যে দিয়ে পালিত হচ্ছে প্রয়াত মহিলা আত্তয়ামীলীগের তৎকালীন সভানেত্রী বেগম আইভি রহমানের ১৭তম শাহাদাৎ বার্ষিকী। সকাল৬টায় উপজেলা আত্তয়ামী লীগের ডাইলপট্রির আত্তয়ামী লীগ অফিসে কালপতাকা উত্তলন ও দলীয় কার্য্যালয়ে খতমে কোরান,পাঠের মধ্যে দিয়ে দিবসটির শুভ সূচনা করা হয়।সকাল ৯টায় ঢাকা-সিলেট মহাসড়কের পাশে আইভিরহমান স্মৃতি স্তম্ভে উপজেলা প্রসাশন.পুলিশ প্রসাশন ও উপজেলা আত্তয়ামী লীগ ও তার অঙ্গসংগঠন সমূহ সহ বিভিন্ন সামাজিক ও সাস্কৃতিক সংগঠনের পক্ষ থেকে পুস্পমাল্য অর্পণ করা হয়। তাছাড়া দুপুর ১২টায় ভৈরব কিবি পাইলট উচ্চবিদ্যালয় মাঠে আলোচনা সভা শেষে শহিদের আত্বার মাগফেরাত কামনা করে মিলাদ মাহফিলও বিশেষ দোয়া শেষে তবারক কাঙ্গালী ভোজের আয়োজন করা হয়েছে। তাছাড়া যোহর নামাজের শেষে মসজিদে মসজিদে দোয়া মন্দির গুলোতে বিশেষ প্রার্থনার আয়োজন করা হয়েছে।
২০০৪ সালের২১ শে আগষ্ঠ বিএনপি জামাতজোট সরকারের ইতিহাসের মদদে ঘৃনিত গ্রেনেড হামলায় বাং!লাদেশ মহিলা আত্তয়ামী লীগের তৎকালিন সভানেত্রি,নারী মুক্তি আন্দোলনের অগ্রদুত,প্রয়াত রাষ্টপতি আলহাজ্জ জিল্লুর রহমানের সহধর্মিনী বেগম আইভিরহমান ঘুরুতর আহত হয়ে ২৪ শে আগষ্ঠ শাহাদাৎ বরণ করেন। তাই দিনটি ভৈরববাসী প্রতিবছরের ন্যায় এবার ও নানা আনুষ্ঠানিকতার মধ্যে দিয়ে পালন করছে। ভৈরবের সর্বমহলের দাবী আইনি প্রক্রিয়া শেষে অবিলম্বে দোষীদের শস্তি কার্য্যকর করা হউক।
