মাননীয় সংসদ সদস্য সৈয়দা রুবিনা আক্তার মিরার সার্বিক তত্ত্বাবধানে, বরিশাল জেলার বানারীপাড়া উপজেলা শহীদ আব্দুর রব সেরনিয়াবাত স্মৃতি পরিষদের উদ্যোগে দোয়া ও আলোচনা সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। সভায় সভাপতিত্ব করেন শহীদ আব্দুর রব সেরনিয়াবাত স্মৃতি পরিষদের সভাপতি মোঃ আনিছুর রহমান মিলন। সভাপতির বক্তব্যে বলেন, ৭৫’ সালের জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানকে স্বপরিবারে হত্যা করে যে কালো অধ্যায়ের সূচনা করেছিলো, তারই ধারাবাহিকতা ছিলো ২০০৮ সালের ২১ আগষ্টের ২৩ বঙ্গবন্ধু এভিনিউ সভাস্থলে আমাদের মমতাময়ী মা’ জননেত্রী শেখ হাসিনার উপর গ্রেনেড হামলা। তিনি বরিশাল সিটি কর্পোরেশনের মাননীয় মেয়র জনাব সেরনিয়াবাত সাদিক আব্দুল্লাহ উপর এবং ছাত্রলীগ, যুবলীগ ও আওয়ামী লীগের উপর বর্বরোচিত হামলার তীব্র নিন্দা এবং প্রতিবাদ জানান। সাথে সাথে এই উদ্দেশ্যে পূর্ন মিথ্যা মামলা প্রত্যাহার করে গ্রেফতারকৃত সকল নেতাকর্মীর নিঃশর্ত মুক্তি দাবী করেন।
মহান স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রাম থেকে আজ পর্যন্ত সকল গনতান্ত্রিক আন্দোলনের সকল শাহাদাৎ বরণকারীর রুহের মাগফিরাত কামনা করেন।
এর আগে আজ সকালে শহীদ আব্দুর রব সেরনিয়াবাত স্মৃতি পরিষদের অস্থায়ী কার্যালয়ে কুরআন খতম করা হয়। কুরআন খতম শেষে সলিয়াবাকপুর ফজলুল হক মাধ্যমিক বিদ্যালয় মিলনায়তনে এক সংক্ষিপ্ত আলোচনা করা হয়। এই আলোচনা সভায় উপস্থিত ছিলেন, শহীদ আব্দুর রব সেরনিয়াবাত স্মৃতি পরিষদের যুগ্ন-আহ্বায়ক মোর্শেদ আলম মিলন, সদস্য, মোঃ হিরন সিকদার, রাজু তালুকদার, আরিফ হোসেন, সাদ্দাম হোসেন মিঠু, মোঃ গিয়াস সরদার, মোঃ জনি সরদার, ওবায়দুল সরদার, সালমান ইমন, পারভেজ সহ অন্যান্য সদস্য বৃন্দ। দোয়া ও আলোচনা সভায় মেহমান হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন সলিয়াবাকপুর ইউনিয়নের ৯টি এতিম খানার প্রায় ৩শত ছাত্র এবং হাফেজগন।
দোয়া মোনাজাত পরিচালনা করেন, সলিয়াবাকপুর ইউনিয়নের কেন্দ্রীয় জামে মসজিদের পেশ ইমাম হাফেজ মাওলানা আবুল কালাম আজাদ। মোনাজাত শেষে উপস্থিত সকলকে তাবারক খাওয়ানো হয়।
