নেছারাবাদে সোবাহিনীর পক্ষ থেকে লকডাউনে আটকে পড়া অসহায় মানুষের মাঝে ত্রান সামগ্রী বিতরন করা হয়েছে। বুধবার সকাল থেকে পৌর শহরের জগৎপট্টি বন্দর, জগন্নাথকাঠি বন্দরের ক্ষুদ্র ব্যবসায়ী ও পার্শবর্তী এলাকার অসহায় মানুষের মাঝে ত্রান সামগ্রী বিতরন করা হয়। ৭ পদাতিক ডিভিশনের অধীনস্ত ২৬ হর্স এর পক্ষ থেকে মেজর শেখ মো. মুরাদ হোসেনের নেতৃত্বে সেনা সদস্যরা বাড়ী বাড়ী গিয়ে ওই ত্রান বিতরন করেন।
এসময় উপস্থিত থেকে সহায়তা করেন ইউএনও মো. মোশারেফ হোসেন, পিআইও মানস কুমার দাস ও দুই বন্দর কমিটির নেতৃবৃন্দ। সেনাবাহিনীর পক্ষ থেকে দেওয়া এক প্রেস রিলিজে উল্লেখ করা হয় অপারেশন ‘কভিড শিল্ড’ এর অওতায় বাংলাদেশ সেনাবাহিনীর ৭ পদাতিক ডিভিশনের ২৬ হর্স পিরোজপুর জেলার বিভিন্ন উপজেলায় সেনা সদস্যদের রেশনের একটি বড় অংশ ত্রান হিসেবে বিতরন করছেন। তারা ওই জেলার সর্বত্র মানুষের স্বাস্থ্য সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি ও সতর্কতা মুলক টহল পরিচালনা করছে। সেনাবাহিনী সরকারের দেওয়া শাটডাউন বাস্তবায়নে সদা প্রস্তুত।
