জামালপুরের সরিষাবাড়ী পৌরসভার ভূরারবাড়ি গ্রামে হেরোইন বিক্রির সময় মাদক ব্যবসায়ী মাফিজুল ইসলাম(৩২) নামে এক ব্যক্তির কাছ থেকে ৩২ পুরিয়া হেরোইনসহ আজ বৃহস্পতিবার ১৭ জুন ভোরে গ্রেপ্তার করেছে সরিষাবাড়ী থানা পুলিশ ।
মামলার এজাহার ও পুলিশ সূত্রে জানা গেছে, সরিষাবাড়ী পৌরসভার ভূরারবাড়ি গ্রামের মাফিজুল ইসলাম দীর্ঘ দিন ধরে মাদক বেচাকেনা করে আসছিল । গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে ভূরারবাড়ি ব্রীজ থেকে হেরোইন বিক্রির সময় মাদক ব্যবসায়ী মাফিজুলকে ৩২ পুরিয়া হেরোইনসহ গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়। এ ঘটনায় সরিষাবাড়ী থানার এসআই আরিফুল ইসলাম বাদি হয়ে মাফিজুল ইসলাম কে আসামি করে থানায় মাদক দ্রব্য নিয়ন্ত্রণ আইনে মামলা দায়ের করার পর দুপুরে মাদক ব্যবসায়ীকে আদালতের মাধ্যমে কারাগারে পাঠানো হয়েছে।
সরিষাবাড়ী থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ মীর রকিবুল হক জানান, ৩২ পুরিয়া হেরোইনসহ ব্যক্তির বিরুদ্ধে থানায় মাদক দ্রব্য আইনে মামলা হয়েছে।
