দ্বিতীয় স্ত্রীর প্ররোচনা ও পরামর্শে ১ম স্ত্রীর ঘরে জন্ম নেয়া মাদ্রাসা পড়ুয়া নিজের ১৪ বছরের সন্তানকে ভাগ্নীর জামাইকে সাথে নিয়ে কোদাল দিয়ে কুপিয়ে হত্যা করেছেন পাষণ্ড এক বাবা। এঘটনার প্রায় তিন মাস পর জয়দেবপুরের পিরুজালী আকন্দপাড়া এলাকার বাবুল হোসেন আকন্দ (৪২)কে ৯ই জুন ও বাবুলের ভাগ্নি জামাই একই এলাকার এমদাদুল (৩৫) কে ১০ই জুন গ্রেপ্তার করেছে পিবিআই পুলিশ।
গত ৮ মার্চ রাত ৮ টায় নামাজ পড়ার কথা বলে ঘর থেকে বের হয়ে আর বাড়িতে ফিরেনি বাবুলের সন্তান বিপ্লব আকন্দ (১৪)। পরের দিন সকালে পিরুজালী বকচরপাড়া এলাকার সানাউল্লাহ মুন্সির বাঁশ ঝাড়ের পাশে ফাঁকা জায়গায় ধারালো অস্ত্রের আঘাত সহ বিপ্লবের মরদেহ পরে থাকতে দেখা যায়। পরে ভিকটিমের মা খাদিজা অজ্ঞাত আসামীদের বিরুদ্ধে জয়দেবপুর থানায় মামলা দায়ের করেন।
গ্রেপ্তারের পর পুলিশ ব্যুরো অব ইনভেস্টিগেশন (পিবিআই) এর কাছে আসামিরা জানায়, প্রায় এক যুগ আগে ছোট ভাইয়ের স্ত্রী জুলিয়াকে বিয়ে করে পৈতৃক ২ কাঠা জমি বিক্রি করে জুলিয়ার বাবার বাড়ি টাঙ্গাইলে ঘর করে দেয় বাবুল। জুলিয়া সেখানে বিভিন্ন ছেলেদের সাথে চলাফেরা করায় বাবুল তাকে নিয়ে পিরুজালী ভাড়া বাড়িতে বসবাস করতেন। জুলিয়া প্রায়ই বাবুলের বড় স্ত্রী খাদিজাকে মারধর করতো। তাদের মধ্যে ঝগড়াবিবাধ লেগেই থাকতো।
ঘটনার অনুমান ০৩ মাস পূর্বে আসামী বাবুলের সাথে দ্বিতীয় স্ত্রী জুলিয়া ঝগড়া করে তার ছোট মেয়েকে নিয়ে বাবার বাড়ি টাঙ্গাইল চলে যায় এবং মোবাইল ফোনে তার স্বামী বাবুলকে প্রথম স্ত্রীকে তালাক দিতে বলে। তালাক না দিলে সে তার ছোট মেয়েকে খুন করে বাবুল এবং তার পরিবারের সকলকে ফাঁসিয়ে দেয়ার হুমকি দেয়। বাবুল তার দ্বিতীয় স্ত্রীর কথাবার্তায় সব সময় অতিষ্ঠ থাকতো।
মামলার অপর আসামী এমদাদ সম্পর্কে বাবুলের ভাগ্নী জামাই। এমদাদ এর সাথে বাবুল এর ২য় স্ত্রীর গোপন সম্পর্ক ছিল, যা এমদাদ প্রাথমিক জিজ্ঞাসাবাদে স্বীকার করেছে। এই সম্পর্কের সুযোগ নিয়ে বাবুলের দ্বিতীয় স্ত্রী জুলিয়া এমদাদকে বিভিন্ন বুদ্ধি পরামর্শ দিত যাতে বাবুলের প্রথম স্ত্রীকে ঘড় ছাড়া করা যায়। ঘটনার অনুমান ১০ দিন পূর্বে জুলিয়া পিরুজালী এসে এমদাদের সাথে দেখা করে ভিকটিমকে হত্যা করার জন্য বাবুলকে রাজী করাতে বলে।
ঘটনার কয়েক দিন পূর্বে বাবুল এমদাদকে জানায় তার ছোট ছেলে বিপ্লবকে হত্যা করতে হবে এবং বাবুলকে তার কথা শুনতে বলে। পরবর্তীতে বাবুল এমদাদুল এর পরামর্শে তার ছোট ছেলে বিপ্লব আকন্দকে খুন করার পরিকল্পনা করে, কারন আসামী বাবুল তার দ্বিতীয় স্ত্রীর প্রতি খুবই দুর্বল ছিল বলে জানিয়েছে।
বিপ্লব নারায়ণগঞ্জ মাদ্রাসায় থেকে লেখাপড়া করতো। ছুটিতে বাড়িতে আসার কয়েকদিন পরে ঘটনার দিন আসামী বাবুল বিপ্লবকে নিয়ে এশার নামায পড়ার জন্য বাসা থেকে বের হয়। তখন আসামী বাবুল তার ছোট স্ত্রীকে তাবিজ করার কথা বলে ভিকটিমকে প্রতিবেশী খালেকের বাসা থেকে একটি কোদাল আনার জন্য বলে।
বিপ্লবের শরীর স্থাস্থ্য ভালো থাকায় এমদাদ পূর্ব পরিকল্পনা অনুযায়ী সেভেন আপ এর সাথে নেশা জাতীয় ঔষধ মিশিয়ে বিপ্লবকে খাওয়ায়। আসামী বাবুল তার ছেলে বিপ্লবকে নিয়ে পিরুজালী বকচরপাড়া সানাউল্লাহ মুন্সির বাঁশ ঝাড়ের পাশে ফাঁকা জায়গায় নিয়ে যায়। কিছুক্ষণ পর বিপ্লব যখন ঝিমিয়ে পড়তে থাকে এবং বাড়ি যাওয়ার কথা বলে মাটিতে শুয়ে পড়ে ঠিক তখন আসামী বাবুল তার হাতে থাকা কোদাল দিয়ে ছেলে বিপ্লবের গলায় কোপ দেয়, বিপ্লব লাফিয়ে উঠার চেষ্টা করলে বাবুল পুনরায় কোদাল দিয়ে বিপ্লবের শরীরের বিভিন্ন স্থানে আঘাত করে মৃত্যু নিশ্চিত করে এবং কোদালটি পাশের ধানের জমিতে ফেলে বাসায় চলে যায়। পরবর্তীতে আসামী এমদাদ বাবুলের কথামত কোদালটি সেখান থেকে নিয়ে তার বাসায় লুকিয়ে রাখে।
এই বিষয়ে পুলিশ ব্যুরো অব ইনভেস্টিগেশন (পিবিআই) গাজীপুর জেলার পুলিশ সুপার, মোহাম্মদ মাকছুদের রহমান গতকাল শুক্রবার এক বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে জানান, মামলার বাদি খাদিজা বাবুলের প্রথম স্ত্রী। আনুমানিক এক যুগ আগে বাবুল তার আপন ছোট ভাইয়ের স্ত্রী জুলিয়াকে ফুসলিয়ে দ্বিতীয় বিয়ে করেন এবং ছোট স্ত্রীর ০২ মেয়েকে নিয়ে আলাদা বাসা ভাড়া নিয়ে বসবাস করত। মূলত পারিবারিক কলহের জের ধরে ঘটনার দিন আসামী বাবুল কোদাল দিয়ে ভিকটিমের গলা ও শরীরের বিভিন্ন স্থানে আঘাত করে নিজের ঔরসজাত সন্তানকে নির্মমভাবে হত্যা করে। ১০ জুন এমদাদের তথ্য মতে তার বাড়ি থেকে হত্যায় ব্যবহৃত কোদালটি উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে বলেও জানান তিনি।
আসামী বাবুল হোসেন আকন্দ ও এমদাদুলকে বিজ্ঞ আদালতে পাঠানোর পর তারা ঘটনার সাথে জড়িত বলে স্বেচ্ছায় স্বীকারোক্তিমূলক জবানবন্দি প্রদান করেছে বলেও জানিয়েছেন পিবিআই এর এই কর্মকর্তা।
