মানববন্ধন করেছে সিরাজগঞ্জের বিভিন্ন স্কুল কলেজের সাধারণ শিক্ষার্থীবৃন্দ।
জানা যায়, সিরাজগঞ্জ শহরের প্রাণ কেন্দ্র মুজিব সড়কে মওলানা ভাষানী কলেজের সামনে বৃহস্পতিবার আনুমানিক সকাল ৯.০০ ঘটিকায় শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান খুলে দেওয়ার দাবিতে মানববন্ধন করেছে সিরাজগঞ্জ সবচেয়ে বড় বিদ্যাপিঠ ও সুনামধন্য শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান সিরাজগঞ্জ সরকারি ও ইসলামীয়া কলেজের শিক্ষার্থীরা সহ বিভিন্ন স্কুল কলেজের শিক্ষার্থীবৃন্দ। মানববন্ধনে সাধারণ শিক্ষার্থীরা প্লেকার্ডে বিভিন্ন স্লোগান লেখা প্রায় কয়েক শত সাধারণ ছাত্ররা অংশগ্রহণ করেন।
ঘণ্টাব্যাপী চলাকালে উক্ত মানববন্ধনে সাধারণ ছাত্রদের মধ্যে বক্তৃতায় তারা উল্লেখ করেন, কোমলমতি শিক্ষার্থীদের কথা চিন্তা ও শিশুদের গেমস আসক্তি থেকে মুক্ত রাখার জন্য শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান খুলে দেওয়ার বিকল্প কোন রাস্তা নেই, তারা আরো বলেন, দেশে বর্তমানে কাগজে-কলমে লকডাউন থাকলেও শুধুমাত্র শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান ছাড়া অন্য কোথাও লকডাউন বলবৎ নেই, তাই সরকারের নিকট অতি দ্রুত শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান খুলে দেওয়ার দাবি জানান। বক্তারা এছাড়া আরো বলেন, সরকারি চাকরিতে প্রবেশের সময়সীমা বাড়ানোর জন্য জোরালো দাবি করে বক্তব্য দেন,
নাম প্রকাশে অনিচ্ছুক কয়েকজন শিক্ষক জানান, শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান খুলে দেওয়ার ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের দাবি যৌক্তিক বলে মনে করি,
উক্ত মানববন্ধনে অন্যান্যদের মধ্যে বক্তব্য রাখেন, নামজুল হাসান, শামীম রেজা, তাজমুল হক, কোরাইশ হোসাইন, ও আতিকুর রহমান প্রমুখ।
