র্যাব-৫, সিপিসি-৩, জয়পুরহাট র্যাব ক্যাম্পের কোম্পানী কমান্ডার সহকারি পুলিশ সুপার মোঃ মাসুদ রানা প্রেস বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে বলেন- আজ রবিবার বিকাল ৪ টায় গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে গাইবান্ধা জেলার গোবিন্দগঞ্জ থানাধীন ৪নং রাজাহার ইউনিয়নের কাটনিগাড়ী ঈদগাহ্ মাঠের পাশে পাকা রাস্তার উপর অভিযান পরিচালনা করে গাঁজা- ১ কেজি, ৮০০ গ্রাম,
মোবাইল- ০২ টি, সীমকার্ড – ০৩ টি, মেমোরী কার্ড-০১ টিসহ উল্লেখিত ২ জন মাদক কারবারিকে হাতেনাতে গ্রেফতার করা হয়।
তিনি আরো বলেন-প্রাথমিক জিজ্ঞাসাবাদে জানা যায় যে, উক্ত ধৃত আসামীদ্বয় দীর্ঘদিন যাবৎ নেশা জাতীয় মাদকদ্রব্য গাঁজা অবৈধভাবে সংগ্রহ করে বিভিন্ন স্থানে মাদকসেবী ও মাদক কারবারীদের নিকট সরবরাহ করে আসছিল।
পরবর্তীতে গ্রেফতারকৃত আসামীর বিরুদ্ধে গাইবান্ধা জেলার গোবিন্দগঞ্জ থানায় মাদকদ্রব্য নিয়ন্ত্রণ আইন-২০১৮ অনুসারে মামলা দায়ের করা হয়েছে।
