গাজীপুর মহানগরের কাশিমপুরে সুমন মোল্লাকে দুধের সাথে ঘুমের ঔষধ মিশিয়ে খাইয়ে অচেতন করে পরকীয়া প্রেমিক তনয়কে ফোন করে ডেকে এনে স্বামীকে বালিশ চাপা দিয়ে শ্বাসরোধ করে হত্যা করে স্ত্রী আরিফা।
হত্যার পর চাপাতি ও করাত দিয়ে মরদেহটি কেটে ৬ টুকরো করে। এবং মাথাবিহীন দেহাংশটি পাশের বাড়ির জালাল উদ্দীনের সেফটিক টাংকিতে এবং হাত পা মাথার ৫ টি টুকরো প্লাস্টিকের ব্যাগে ভরে ময়লার স্তূপে ফেলে। গত ২১ এপ্রিল কাশিমপুরের সারদাগঞ্জ হাজী মার্কেট এলাকায় এ ঘটনা ঘটে।
ঘটনার ৩৮ দিন পর ২৯ মে ঘাতক স্ত্রী ও প্রেমিক তনয়কে গ্রেপ্তার করার পর প্রাথমিক জিজ্ঞাসাবাদে তারা হত্যাকাণ্ডের কথা শিকার করে লোমহর্ষক ঘটনার বর্ননা দিয়েছে।
নিহত সুমন মোল্লা (২৮) বাগেরহাটের চিতলমারীর গোলা বরননীর জাফর মোল্লার সন্তান। ঘাতক স্ত্রী আরিফা বেগম (২৪) দিনাজপুরের চিবিরবন্দরের নারায়নপুর এলাকার মৃত আশরাফ আলীর কন্যা।তারা প্রায় দের বছর আগে বিয়ে করেছিলেন।তারা সারদাগঞ্জের হাজী মার্কেট এলাকার শফিউল্লাহর বাড়িতে ভাড়া থেকে পোশাক কারখানায় কাজ করতো।
ঘাতক প্রেমিক তনয় সরকার (৩১) ফরিদপুর মধুখালীর নরকোনা গ্রামের আদিত্য সরকারের সন্তান। তনয় একই এলাকার মতিউরের বাড়ির ভাড়াটিয়া।
রবিবার দুপুরে গাজীপুর মেট্রোপলিটন সদর দপ্তরে উপ-পুলিশ কমিশনার জাকির হাসান এক প্রেস ব্রিফিংয়ে সাংবাদিকদের এসব তথ্য জানান।
জাকির হাসান জানান, গত ২১ এপ্রিল কাশিমপুরের সারদাগঞ্জ হাজী মার্কেট এলাকার জামাল উদ্দিনের সেপটিক ট্যাংক থেকে হাত-পা ও মাথাবিহীন অজ্ঞাত পুরুষের লাশ উদ্ধার করে পুলিশ। পরে ২২ এপ্রিল অজ্ঞাতনামাদের বিরুদ্ধে কাশিমপুর থানায় মামলা করে দীর্ঘ তদন্তের পর নিহতের পরিচয় সনাক্ত করে পুলিশ।
তিনি আরও জানান, সুমন মোল্লার স্ত্রী আরিফা একই এলাকার ভাড়াটিয়া তনয় সরকারের সঙ্গে পরকীয়া প্রেমে জড়িয়ে পড়ে। বিষয়টি সুমন জানতে পেরে তনয় ও আরিফাকে মারধর করেন সুমন। এ নিয়ে তাদের সঙ্গে সুমনের ঝগড়াঝাটি ও বিরোধ সৃষ্টি হয়। পরে তনয় ও আরিফা সুমনকে হত্যার পরিকল্পনা করে। এবং রাতে সনকে ঘুমের ঔষধ খাইয়ে অচেতন করে শ্বাসরোধ করে হত্যা করে। এবং মরদেহ টুকরো টুকরো করে কেটে সেফটিক টাংকি ওময়লার স্তূপে ফেলেন।
