দেশে গত ১২ সেপ্টেম্বর পর্যন্ত ৯৬ লাখ ৫৪ হাজার ১১৯ ডোজ করোনাভাইরাসের টিকার মজুদ ছিল বলে জানিয়েছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা।
বুধবার জাতীয় সংসদে পিরোজপুর-৩ আসনের জাতীয় পার্টির সংসদ সদস্য ডা. রুস্তম আলী ফরাজীর প্রশ্নের জবাবে এ তথ্য তুলে ধরেন তিনি।
প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, বর্তমানে ১৮ বছরের বেশি সব বাংলাদেশি নাগরিককে করোনার টিকা দেওয়ার পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে। সেজন্য বিভিন্ন দেশ ও সংস্থা থেকে টিকা সংগ্রহের চেষ্টা অব্যাহত রয়েছে।
তিনি জানান, ১২ সেপ্টেম্বর পর্যন্ত দুই কোটি নয় লাখ ২২ হাজার ৭১৫ জনকে প্রথম ডোজ এবং তাদের মধ্যে এক কোটি ৩৮ লাখ ৫৫ হাজার ৪৬ জনকে দ্বিতীয় ডোজ দেওয়া হয়েছে। সব মিলিয়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে মোট তিন কোটি ৪৭ লাখ ৭৭ হাজার ৭৬১ ডোজ টিকা।
বর্তমানে সাধারণভাবে ২৫ বছর ও তার বেশি বয়সিদের টিকা দেওয়া হচ্ছে। এছাড়া শিক্ষার্থীরা ১৮ বছর বয়স হলেই টিকার জন্য নিবন্ধন করতে পারছেন।
প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, চলতি বছরের ডিসেম্বরের মধ্যে মোট জনসংখ্যার ৫০ শতাংশকে টিকার আওতায় আনার জন্য বিশ্ব স্বাস্থ্য সংস্থার গাইডলাইন অনুসরণ করে ব্যবস্থা নিচ্ছে সরকার।
১২ বছর ও তার বেশি বয়সী শিক্ষার্থীদের টিকার আওতায় আনা, প্রতিবন্ধীদের সমাজকল্যাণ মন্ত্রণালয়ের সুবর্ণ কার্ডের মাধ্যমে নিবন্ধন করে টিকা দেওয়া এবং শ্রমিকদের অগ্রাধিকার ভিত্তিতে টিকা দেওয়া নিয়ে সরকারের পরিকল্পনার কথাও তিনি জানান।
প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, টিকা সংগ্রহের জন্য সম্ভাব্য সব পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া হয়েছে। সরকারের গৃহীত এ সব কার্যক্রমের ফলে এ পর্যন্ত ২৪ কোটি ৬৫ লাখ ১৩ হাজার ৬৬০ ডোজ টিকা সংগ্রহের ব্যবস্থা করা হয়েছে।
তিনি বলেন, ১২ সেপ্টেম্বর পর্যন্ত দ্বিপাক্ষিক ক্রয় চুক্তি এবং উপহার হিসাবে মোট ৪ কোটি ৪৪ লাখ ৩১ হাজার ৮৮০ ডোজ টিকা পাওয়া গেছে। করোনার সংক্রমণ প্রতিরোধে টিকা সংগ্রহ ও বিনামূল্যে টিকাদান কার্যক্রম চলমান রয়েছে।
প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, রাশিয়া থেকে ১ কোটি ডোজ স্পুৎনিক-ভি টিকা কেনার চুক্তি ‘চূড়ান্ত পর্যায়ে’ রয়েছে। তাছাড়া কোভ্যাক্সের মাধ্যমে তিন কোটি ডোজ সিনোফার্ম ও সাড়ে সাত কোটি ডোজ সিনোভ্যাক টিকা আনার বিষয়টিও প্রায় চূড়ান্ত।
